State Duma, Google to talk about legislation compliance on Oct 25

MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s lower house of parliament State Duma committee on security and counteraction to corruption will hold a video conference with the Google management to discuss the issues related to compliance with Russian legislation, chairman of the committee Vasily Piskaryov said at a session on Wednesday.

“The committee entered into communication with a Google executive ... asking them to come out and communicate with us via a video link. An email came in that they agreed, we have that session scheduled for October 25,” Piskaryov said.

The IT-giant’s compliance with the Russian law on the territory of the country will be one of the major topics of the talk.
